I) Terms Of Participation
1. Participant Qualifications
This race is open to any experienced, healthy and well-trained runners/walkers. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Participants take full, personal responsibility for their health standing. Any participant has to be officially accredited and has to have the official starting bibs for the GORE-TEX® Transalpine-Run 2010.
2. General Terms
Any participant has to accept the general rules and directions of the event regulations and has to follow the guidelines and orders given by the event stuff.
Any participant has to return the timing chip to PLAN B event company GmbH right after the race. For lost or not returned timing chips you will be charged with € 70,--.
All rules, hints and instructions contained in the invitation, the guides and supplementary instructions shall constitute a direct contractual obligation to the participant. Claims of any kind relating to the contract or the services provided by PLAN B event company GmbH, irrespective of its legal ground, shall be raised exclusively at the end of the event, i.e. within one month after the contractual end of the event, and exclusively towards PLAN B event company GmbH to the address indicated below.
3. Sign Up
Any team has to send via mail a completed and signed entry form (no faxes, copies or emails) to the organizer or has to accept and enter via the online registration on www.transalpine-run.com. The contract will become effective after the participant has accepted by signing the registration form or express clicking the relevant field in case of online registration, the conditions of participation and rules, the entry fee has been received by PLAN B event company GmbH and the participant has received his registration confirmation.
The team captain (who sends in the accreditation) will receive all documents pertaining to the race. You will receive a confirmation letter with your starting number on it AFTER you have paid the starting fee. The confirmation letter will let you get your starter-package in Ruhpolding at the race counter. Participation is only confirmed after the payment of the starting fee and the return of the completed accreditation form (please send a copy of remittance).
The kind and scope of services to be provided by PLAN B event company GmbH follows exclusively from the content of the registration confirmation and the performance description of the offers.
4. Terms Of Payment
Participants with a German bank account can pay the entry fee by providing the event organizer with a direct-debit mandate and their account details.

After you have signed up, the starting fee will be due immediately.
Additional services (return transfer, camps, etc) have to be paid on the spot.
II) Cancellations
1. Cancellation Policy
Teams cancelling before June 2nd, 2010 will receive EUR 700,- per team back. Cancelling between June 3rd and July 21st, 2010 will get you EUR 500,- per team back. Cancellations after July 21st, 2010 will only be accepted with an accompanying doctors attest, in which case the team will receive EUR 200,- back.
We recommend a cancellation insurance.
2. Cancellation/Termination by PLAN B
PLAN B event company GmbH may terminate the contract after the event started, subject to the following conditions:
a. Breach of rules and/or regulations and instructions by the participant that he/she was informed about prior or during the event.
b. Failure by participant to observe instructions by the event management or by PLAN B event company GmbH.
c. If the participant disturbs materially the fulfilment of the contract in any other way or his/her behaviour is not in conformity with the contract in such a way that an immediate termination of the contract becomes justified.
In the event a contract is terminated by PLAN B event company GmbH, it will be eligible for the total price; PLAN B event company GmbH however must allow the deduction of the amount of saved expenses and any over benefit it obtained from the use of the starting fee for other purposes, including any sums that may have been credited by other service providers.
3. Cancellation of the Event/No Show
If the event is cancelled because of circumstances of force majeure, the participant will not be entitled to any reimbursement of the entry fee and compensation of other losses, such as travelling or accommodation expenses. All claims will be forfeited for no shows.
4. Services Not Utilized
If the participant gives up during the event due to illness or any other reason not to be attributed to the organizer, does not take part in individual stages or utilize services, the participant shall not be entitled to any proportional refunding of the package price concerned.
III) Liabilty
With this accreditation, I bind myself to the event GORE-TEX® Transalpine-Run 2010. Compensation claims brought forward by the competitor against the organizer, for whatever legal reason, are excluded. This does not apply, if the organizer, his legal representatives or his assistants in the execution of his duties have acted with intent or with gross negligence or the organizer is duly liable due to accountable damage resulting from injuries to the life, the body or the health of a person or the breach of integral contractual obligations. I declare myself willing to undergo controls and inspections on my person and my equipment if so ordered by the competition jury. I know and understand the rules and regulations and will abide by them. I release any rights to any and all photo and video information taken during the event and agree to any publication there of. I hereby certify with my signature that I take part in this event at my own risk and that I am insured against accident or injury. I hereby certify that I have read and accepted the rules and regulations of this event. I herewith accept that PLAN B event company GmbH can use this email address to send me further information. Also the participant states in a binding manner when starting the race that there are no health concerns regarding his/her participation in the race.
IV) Statute Of Limitation/Governing Law/Place Of Jurisdiction
Any claim by the participant towards PLAN B event company GmbH, irrespective of its legal ground, shall be statute-barred after one year from the contractually specified end of the event.
The legal and contractual relationship between the participant and PLAN B event company GmbH shall be entirely subject to German law. The place of jurisdiction is Munich
