Sponsor Polar sends two teams
|
| True
to the motto "Listen to your body", Polar
- the specialist for heart rate instruments - sends
two teams to this year's GORE-TEX Transalpine-Run.
Due to this, our sponsor tackles step in the event
in two categories: mixed and men. |
|
| |
 |
|
The mixed combination consists of Kerstin Reiprich and
Alexander Platt. After Reiprich was able to assure herself
of the fascination of an Alp crossing out of the view
of a spectator, it was easy for her to convince her companion
to enter the race as a pairing. Both will start as "Hoppel-Moppel-Polar".
Their goal is the same as for the most other starters:
make it to Latsch. As enthusiastic climbers, ski tour
hikers and alpinists both bring in enough mountain experience.
|
| Time
will show, to what extent the couple is able to finish
the challenging stages at a quick pace. Fun and the experience
of nature are the main aspects of this adventure for both. |

When the
race kicks of on Saturday in Oberstdorf, another Polar
team will be there. Harald Bajohr, media consultant of
Polar, will tackle the route together with Tilo Ploeger
as "Lobo-Polar". Both are finishers of last
year's GORE-TEX Transalpine-Run despite the fact
that they were running with other partners. Both "wolves"
hope to benefit from their experience although the preparations
weren't as good as estimated: it's not that easy to combine
sport and job, especially if flew is effecting in your
training time. |

|
By the way: Those who want to listen to their body should
feel free to borrow a running computer for one or two
legs of the GORE-TEX Transalpine-Run. Polar offers
the RS800G3 - a high class computer including GPS - for
this year's stage race. Of course, every interested runner
is invited to get the latest update on every Polar product
provided by the event team at site. |
