Clear the decks for “Team Prettau / LC Fochina”

Etappe Niederdorf   For years, the two South Tyrolean are going through thick and thin. No matter if it’s winter time or summer time, it seams that when it comes down to sports Erich Eder and Helmuth Kirchler are inseparable. Not the worst premises for a successful participation in the GORE-TEX™ Transalpine-Run 2008 as the event is not only bringing everyone to his or hers personal physical limit but also is putting all runners in respect of capacity of teamwork to the test.

This test should be an easy task for the pairing Eder/Kirchler as both are going way back and have shared the running hobby for many years now. Both athletes who were born in 1974 are also competing together with other members of LC Fochina in several mountain races and therefore will bring in some experience as “Team Prettau” has successfully completed the Drei-Zinnen-Marathon and the Tiefrasten-Xtrem-Lauf.

Another advantage could be the knowledge of the local landscape because Erich and Helmuth explore the nature around their home towns with ski tours during winter time – including trips through the Zillertal Alps and the Nature Park Rieserferner which will be also cut across at this year’s GORE-TEX™ Transalpine-Run.

Despite all sportive goals, both runners are not so stickler for ambition: “The joy of running also includes cosy parties after every run. We are looking forward to a cool wheat beer in Sexten!”
