St. Anton crosses fingers for locals

Mountain Run Team St. Anton   The Arlberg village St. Anton will support a pairing of two locals which will represent the stage town at the third GORE-TEX™ Transalpine-Run. Kurt Huettl and Hans-Peter Brunnbauer will give everything from September 1st to 8th to better their last year's result.

"Last year, our main goal was making it to Latsch. In the end we finished 29th. Due to the fact that more teams will enter the race this year, we will try to improve each of our leg times", explains Hans-Peter Brunnbauer the team's objective.

In order to that, the 46-years-old and his 28-years-old partner have prepared the ground to fulfil their targets: "We have competed in several marathons in our region including the Montafon-Arlberg-Marathon which is peppered with 1.300 meters of elevation gain along the 42 kilometres. In addition, we did some long time training sessions. All in all, we trained about ten times together", said Brunnbauer.

But the shared exercises and the experience of last year is not everything which let both Tyrol runners match a perfect team: Huettl and Brunnbauer are next door neighbours.
