Schlanders is pleased to
welcome the runners once more
|
 |
|
Schlanders is
once again a stage town of the third edition of
the GORE-TEX Transalpine-Run and thus is looking
forward to welcome all Transalpine-Runners to the
main town in the Vinschgau region. From September
6th to 7th, the participants will be all the world
to the organisers so everybody feels comfortable
like in 2006. |
|
| |
| But before
the athletes are able to relax from an exhausting sixth
stage and prepare for the upcoming last on to Latsch,
they have to cross the 'Rappenscharte' 3.000 metres above
sea level. Then, the route leads through the 'Schlandraun'
valley into the idyllic town, which is at 721 metres above
sea level. But stresses and strains of the whole day should
be gone when the teams head for the final spurt. Almost
every one of the 5.900 inhabitants will be cheering for
the participants on their way through the pedestrian zone
into the finish. |

After
the stage everybody can strengthen up again at the pasta
party which will offer local and national gastronomic
specialities. Maybe one is in the mood to enjoy a final
cappuccino in one of the cafes in town to end the day,
too..
In addition, Schlanders offers various attractions to
all fans, team members, relatives and tourists like horse-cart
rides, hikes, art-historical guidings as well as wine
and liquor tastings and many things more. If you want
to get to know the host of the final stage's start check
out r www.schlanders-laas.it
or contact the town directly
