Kirchheim/Teck - You can take your Nordic Walking poles on holiday with you now without worrying about paying excess baggage fines! The 3-section Traveller Carbon can be packed in your suitcase with no problems at all (63,5 cm when pushed together / 52 cm when separated in 3 parts).

Each part of the pole - upper, middle and lower - are made from pure carbon. This gives flexural rigidity which equals that of a fixed length carbon pole. There is no disadvantage to the Traveller being constructed in 3-sections, it matches a one-piece pole in both swing action and weight.

Thanks to the innovative „Trigger Shark Grip-Strap-System“ the strap can be detached very easily from the grip while remaining firmly looped around your hand. This means that you can quickly re-establish connection with the grip through the small ring-connecting piece. The cut and other design details of the “Trigger Shark Strap” have been optimized to give a fit which suits 95 per cent of all hands without changing the strap size.

The “Traveller Carbon” can be adjusted easily from 100 up to 130 cm thanks to the Super Lock adjustment system. In the quality tests carried out by the TÜV Süd and others, this system attained the best results of all locking systems with the highest safety reserve – a holding strength of 140 kg per pole and a reverse turn security of more than 360° are guaranteed.

The Traveller Carbon did also convince the jury of the ispo Outdoor Award, which was donated to this product. Criteria for this prize are innovation, function, quality, easy or user friendliness and design.

LEKI integrated the Positive Angle in the “PA-Safety” grip. The result is a minimum packing size which is very important when you are storing your poles, particularly when they are fixed to a rucksack. The lengths of the poles are short so they can help to avoid dangerous situations from happening such as getting caught between rocks.The integrated Positive Angle also supports the wrist in a natural and relaxed position, which helps shock absorbency.

With the “Lock Security” function, extension of the strap can be adjusted to individual preference. With upwards thrust, the cap flips open and the strap extends automatically. When pulled downwards the fixed length remains locked in every situation providing perfect hold for your hand.

The “Super Lock” adjustment system was tested by the German Quality Testing Centre, TÜV Süd with outstanding results! The TÜV certified a locking force of more than 140 kg – by far the best in the tests - as well as an unmatched reverse turn security of more than 360°.
